Introduction

Jamie Azevedo is originally from the Pacific Northwest, having grown up on the outskirts of Portland, Oregon. Her desire for new experiences took her to the East Coast for college and law school. Though she has always come home, Jamie’s love of travel and adventure has continuously pulled her to distant locations. She has traversed Patagonia in Argentina, hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru, and climbed the Villarrica volcano in Chile. Jamie also has lived in Argentina, Chile, and most recently, Sweden, which temporarily sated her appetite for travel.

Currently, Jamie spends most of her free time with her family, chasing her three young children around the fields and parks of Portland. When she can, she still loves to travel, explore, cycle, run, taste some new IPAs, and go to Timbers games.

Practice &  Experience

Jamie began her legal career as in-house counsel for GEICO, where she successfully tried a variety of cases through arbitration and jury verdict. In addition to representing insured customers in personal injury lawsuits filed against them, Jamie represented GEICO in uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, and as a plaintiff in subrogation. Her desire to expand her practice led Jamie to Bodyfelt Mount in 2016, after returning from two years living in Uppsala, Sweden. Jamie’s practice focuses on general civil litigation, including personal injury, wrongful death, and construction defect cases in which she represents both businesses and individuals.
